01 — About

Operator. Builder. Translator.

I've spent 16+ years as a customer-facing infrastructure and security implementer — starting at Oracle on the datacenter floor (Dulles federal/civilian cloud), then PCI data protection at Fiserv, firm-wide device identity at McKinsey, a 600K-cert hybrid estate at Elevance Health, and now advising a regional bank on certificate management modernization at CDW. Regulated environments, audit-driven shops, FedRAMP and PCI footprints — that's the world I came up in.

I'm pivoting out of pure PKI ops because the technical surface I want to own is broader: solutions engineering, security engineering across the stack, compliance advisory, and the operator side of Web3 / DePIN infrastructure. The common thread is the same one that's always been there — translate deep technical work into something a customer, an executive, or a junior engineer can actually use.

What's changed is how I ship. I run a modern AI-augmented engineering stack — Claude as primary engineering and operations partner, Replit for iteration, self-hosted MCP servers on DigitalOcean for production tooling. I direct AI rather than write code from scratch, and that lets one operator do the work of a small team. This site, for what it's worth, was built that way.

  1. CDW Corporation — Senior Certificate Management Engineer

    Aug 2025 – Present

    Advising a regional banking client on certificate management modernization. Delivered an executive root-cause investigation across 70+ Venafi discovery jobs with phased remediation options, designed a 15-rule placement framework to automate certificate routing, and authored operational documentation and CyberArk CodeSign Protect integration patterns for Azure DevOps pipelines.

  2. Lucid Services Group — PKI Engineer (Elevance Health)

    Aug 2024 – Jul 2025

    PKI operations at Fortune 25 healthcare scale — 600,000+ certificates across Linux, AWS, F5, and DataPower. Implemented certificate lifecycle workflows on PowerShell and Venafi REST APIs, and coordinated CA migration from Entrust to Sectigo in response to Google root distrust.

  3. McKinsey & Company — Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

    Jun 2021 – Feb 2024

    Owned firm-wide device identity and PKI workflows on Venafi TPP for a global consulting firm serving 30,000+ consultants. Built automated issuance and export workflows on Venafi Adaptable Flows, and implemented password rotation and certificate auditing automation in response to audit findings.

  4. Fiserv — Senior Security Engineer, Data Protection

    Apr 2019 – Jun 2021

    Enterprise security engineering across financial services infrastructure with PCI compliance focus. Deployed and administered Venafi TPP for enterprise certificate services and served as escalation point for complex TLS/PKI issues.

  5. Oracle — Senior Network Analyst → Systems Administrator

    Nov 2008 – Mar 2019

    10+ years across networking, datacenter operations, and security infrastructure for civilian, federal, and enterprise clients. Built cloud hosting across three Dulles-region datacenters from empty rooms to full production, and led the SSL SHA1→SHA2 migration across all OPC business lines.
